I'd check dmesg to see if it's detecting the cdrom at boot, then that
the 'ide-cd' module is loaded and check the '/dev/cdrom' entry in fstab.

If that's the Armada 7400 or 7800, you might want to check out this:

The cdrom is a slave on the primary ide channel (hdb) and needs to be
there during the boot.
