Subject: Screen blanking

I have been futzing with this particular problem for a while now and I think
it is time for some help.
After upgrading my computer's monitor blanks out after about 30 to 60
seconds. I have the "matrix" screensaver set, so it should be doing that,
but not until 5 minutes has passed.
Does anyone know how to turn off the darn screen blanking feature?
It seems to be an X thing because when I switch to a console and leave it
going, it never blanks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
