Can you provide particulars on the machine? Windows? Linux? What version?
Do any recent library updates?
Mike

Subject: OpenOffice 1.0.1 errors
Just installed OpenOffice 1.0.1 on a second machine. When I fire up
anything, I get a dialog box with the text "An unrecoverable Error has
occured". Tried a net and local install with and without Java, with no
joy. Anyone have an idea where to look for error output?

You might try starting it from a command line in a terminal window.
