I need a web server within the next two weeks up and running. Linux is
an area of interest to me, but I need serious guidance. I have this
Friday night free to work on this project and could be available to meet
at the Friday evening gathering. I have not attended one yet and look
forward to the opportunity.

I plan on installing the OS prior to Friday. I have a Compaq Proliant:
Pentium Pro (Dual 200Mhz), 512 MB Ram, 2 2GB HDD, everything else is on
the MB. This web server will be running from my home connected via
Cable Modem (I'll probably put a Linksys router between the web server
and the Internet). My experience with web server configuration is null.
Any advice by seasoned Linux users would be appreciated.

Then I need to build my web pages by a program that is compatible with
linux, learn how to update pages, etc. This project is starting from
the ground up.

Please advise,

Thanks,
Tim J.
