Adam,

You don't say what application(s) you're trying to sync with. There are
only a couple of apps that will share info with the Palm. Evolution,
gnome-pim, kpilot, maybe a couple of others.

I don't know of any conduits that will sync e-mail yet under Linux.
There is only one conduit I know of under windows, and it's a
third-party solution, to sync outlook's mail with the palm pilot's. It
is supposedly possible to set-up the palm as a client for sendmail and
to set it up to access pop and smtp servers, but I haven't tried them
yet.
