Here's an Apache 1.3.26 error log entry for the Juneau LUG web page that
I've never seen before:

Sat Jun 22 08:10:27 2002] [error] [client 24.112.143.14] request failed:
erroneous characters after protocol string: CONNECT
mx1.mail.yahoo.com:25 / HTTP/1.0

The access log entry is just a GET request with the string after the
colon (CONNECT ... HTTP/1.0).

I've never seen this type of relay attempt before. Does anyone know
what server/version combo will let you connect to a mail server via html
GET request?

Cheers,

James
