You can use a full OEM cd to do an upgrade. First back up all important
data, better to be safe than sorry. Then simply rename your win.com file
to something like win.old and insert your full version cd and install.
If all goes well all of your settings will be retained with no loss of
any data. I have done this on several occasions with no ill effects.
