Dear Linux friends,

Beginning of June, I have to leave town for several months,
but my Linux system is a little heavy, therefore instead of
hauling it to storage and back I wonder if anyone is
interested in buying it (everything inclusive). Please make
me an offer:

It is a HP 715/100 workstation, 128 MB RAM, with a huge and
heavy HP A1097C monitor. I will give you 3 scsi disks for
it, one for 1 Gig, 1 for 2 Gig and one for 4 Gig (but only
two disks can be installed at the same time). It has an
adapter so that it uses a normal PC keyboard, also has an
adapter for Ethernet plug, even has an external modem, ppp
is working now with the latest kernel. Debian GNU/Linux 3.0
(testing distribution, nothing from unstable) loaded on it
and working flawlessly.

Performance is roughly comparable to a Pentium 266

Debian fits really well on this hardware (the new Debian
project leader has his day job at HP), so it was an
interesting experience for me going beyond the i386 hardware.
(Thanks again to Tom <thogland@alaskatech.org> who sold it
to me earlier this year and was very helpful in setting up
Debian.) You'd have to pick up everything at my home
near the Airport in Anchorage.

All the best,
and thanks for the informative mailing list.
