*#$@!@! I _JUST_ burnt a set of 641d CDs too. I hate it when that
happens.

One thing I hope they fixed is the installer - 641d insists on taking
over file associations for Windows. So if you're using both MS Office
and OpenOffice.org, any time you invoke the 641d installer (to repair,
etc.) all of the office file associations get changed to OpenOffice.org,
even though OpenOffice.org uses different file extensions for native XML
formatted documents.

For a multi-user workstation where only a few people want to use
OpenOffice.org that's a problem, as then you have to go fix the file
associations to get them to point to the Microsoft product. I hope that
OpenOffice.org 1.0 is a little more polite. I want an equivalent office
suite, not an exact replacement with a different name, complete with
rude "we'll make the decisions for you" Redmond-think.

I know, not much Linux content. I've noticed that quite a few of us
operate in heterogeneous environments though.

Cheers,

James
