I recently upgraded my Debian box to the latest woody . This broke
VMware, libc6 upgrade, but it also produced the following error.
clos:/usr/local/vmware-distrib# ./vmware-install.pl,
# install script for VMware
bash: ./vmware-install.pl: /usr/bin/perl: bad interpreter: Permission
denied
'vmware-install.pl' is the install script for VMware. The first lines
of the script are as follows:
#!/usr/bin/perl -w
# If your copy of perl is not in /usr/bin, please adjust the line above.
I am doing this as root, I don't know anything about Perl but it does
exist in 'usr/bin/perl'
