It's a joke. Linus loves Linux far too much to walk away now. Besides
which, some of the people nominated wouldn't touch Linux in a million years.
I highly doubt a core *BSD hacker is going to jump ship for Linux, and I
couldn't honestly think of a reason why they should/would want to.
In any event, the few legitimate nominations might be a testing of the waters
to see who's leadership would be acceptable to the community as a whole to
take some load off of Linus. . .
