does anyone know how well supported usb ethernet adapters are in linux?
i can't seem to find many reviews of any and the documentation i find is
sparse at best. does it really matter on which device you use since usb
is, well, universal? i'm looking to pick up a linksys usb100m micro
10/100 ethernet adapter to get my i-opener linux box online. had a 1gb
drive in it which fried. replaced it with a 14gb drive, so now i have
the space (and hopefully the network connection) to make it a real
system. i want one as small as possible, but if the micro adapter won't
work would the larger etherfast version?

they're at the bottom of this page:

thanks,
