Ok! I have the use of a server run by Arthur Corliss and sent a request for
a new e-mail list group. I'll let you know when it becomes available. I
requested Arthur to set it up as "Java-Junky". He has a new employment
possibility so I don't know how soon he can respond...

I would be very interested. Supposedly there is a Java Users Group in
Anchorage, its listed on
Sun's Java site. But I emailed the contact person a couple times and never
got a response.
