Baker Hughes INTEQ is currently looking for a Geotechnician to work in our Anchorage office. This job does NOT require an extensive knowledge of engineering, geology, etc., but will require a strong computer usage background. It will start out as a data entry position, where the tech will simply enter data sent from the rig and process it into a presentation log. Knowledge of MS Office is a requirement, macro building etc., UNIX knowledge or graphic art manipulation is a plus, but not required. The position will most likely be contract for 6 mo. and if all goes well, a permanent full time position will be offered. Applicants must be legal to work in Canada, and be able to pass a Urinalysis. Travel to the lower 48 and Canada will be required as the first month or so will be spent in training out of the state. Applicant must be able to work overtime, and carry a cell phone and pager as on call duty is required.
