Well there is an app called wmifs which is a real simple network montitor.
Personally I use an app called gkrellm (www.gkrellm.net) it's not a doc
app but it's an excellent, modular system monitor, when I found it I ended
up replacing a handful of not quite perfect doc apps with it.
