I'm not an expert at this type of thing, so don't take my word as
gospel, but packet size can vary, so it's kind of hard to correlate
between number of bytes and number of packets. I know that on our
Win98/2000 network at work, counting each frame as one kb seems to be a
reletively good estimate of actual data transmitted, but I suppose it
would depend on the type of frame being transmitted.
