[aklug] seeking the Whistle InterJet

[Royce Williams]

Hello!

(cross-posted with NUGA and AKLUG)

A call to Alaskan geeks - I'm trying to track down any Whistle InterJet
hardware left in Anchorage. Made by Whistle Communications, and sold by
Internet Alaska in Anchorage and other locations. These devices connected
small offices to the Internet in the late 90s, so they might be hiding in
supply closets / storage units / etc.

I'm a historian of these devices and need them in any condition for
restoration / parts / study. I'm also interested in any supporting material
- external power supplies, shipping boxes, manuals, installation media, or
anything else Whistle-branded. Payment negotiable - donations welcome, but
I will also pay you for your trouble.

Even if you have hardware and want to retain it, that's totally fine -
still want to work closely with you to identify hardware, maybe recover
lost versions of the software, etc.

Please contact me off-list. Thanks!
