Thanks. I think he got some sticker shock when he saw the Synology
prices (even without the drives). But he's got plenty of spare towers
laying around. I think he is just tech savvy enough that he could build
his own NAS if the software was real easy to work with. He is not a
Gnu/Linux user in any serious sense, but he is good at following simple
instructions or online videos. He built a Rasperry Pi video game system
once doing that.
