This is the version of Empire that we played at UAF:

The VAX only held clients of course, but the nodies would occasionally
host a local server on another machine. (I think the Next box, and
maybe a SPARCstation. I wasn't a CS major though so I was never really
in on that.) We had local blitzes on weekends, and I think at least a
couple of the major international games were hosted at UAF after I moved on.

Note: Empire could really affect a GPA. Just sayin'.
