Hi list. I was poking around on the Internet, looking at different
options for a FOSS drop-in replacement for our ol' WS2008 box. My boss
is a Windows man, but he doesn't really care what is running in the
server room. I was wondering if anyone had any opinions from personal
research and experience? Requirements:
- DHCP, DNS (integration would be nice)
- SMB file share
- AD services (Primary Domain Controller). We use AD for Windows station
logins and the file share permissions.
- Under 10 users in office
- Management interface that could be easily taught to someone without
much *nix experience
- RADIUS server would be a plus
(We don't use Exchange for anything.)
Some options I have come across so far: UCS, Zentyal, Igaware.
