If loading the page over SSL caused content to be "mixed-mode" - i.e., both secure and insecure, it's possible that security settings within your browser blocked it.

Check the source, and look for hard-coded protocols (http:, https:) in the urls that could cause that

Not sure I understand why it was blocking the content, but was able to
tell it not to block the content.

In this case, the content in question was some java script.

It is weird to me that it would block it for https, but not http.

So if someone has an explanation for that....that would be informative.
