IA, as far as I remember, was the 1st provider. I was of the understanding
at the time the ATU was a partner from the start, I heard at the time that
ATU owned 51%, but I'm not sure how accurate that number is.

I think ATU bought them out completely when the sale to Pacific Telecom was
being negotiated, before GCI got involved and tried to take ATU instead.

IA's ghost is still around...There are still a lot of @alaska.net email
accounts around.

On a side note, ran into Pat Wilke the other day. I guess he's living in
the Butte area out of Palmer.
