You kids don't remember the Motorola shoe phone. Not much smaller than a
brick, cost about $800 unless you signed your life away. They were way
much smaller that the previous version, which came with a lead-acid
battery and a canvas bag to carry it, and it had a "conventional"
handset. This puppy ran for about three hours on standby. I did not pay
the bills, but I think one could buy a car a minute for the air time.
