Interesting to hear that about Meetup. I have signed up for it, the free
part where you can participate in Meetups. I have been tempted to set up on
the paying side so that I could put together a Meetup, but it gets
difficult to justify the expense if you're not setting up for a dues paying
organization.

I have never attended a Meetup as the very few local ones I would have
liked to attend always seemed to conflict with something else I had a
previous commitment to.
