Hey, this is somewhat old news, but are any of you familiar with this?:

This was a link I got from the faif oggcast. It's rather interesting
because, personally, I was under the impression that IBM was one of
the bigger supports of FOSS, having seen some of their videos
promoting Linux. The article, though, is about how IBM tried to lay
the smackdown on a company that threatens their core business model,
which had begun to commercialize the open source system Z emulator
"Herucles", by selling non-IBM hardware running the emulator.

Also, apparently IBM is the largest software patent holder in the world:
