[aklug] Lua

Does anyone have any opinions about lua?
FYI: I have been lurker on their ML for several years. Don't see it
as an avenue for web apps, but I wonder is anyone knows of lua
application in building apps for mobile devices.
FYI1: I note that lua *is* used extensively for game programming.
