I agree with Greg that gimp deserves praise; don't intend to disparage
it here. I was just pointing out the practical limitations, since
(apparently) gimp is positioned as an alternative to Photoshop.
Complaining that a free, open source program moves too slowly is a
little like me complaining that I dress myself badly. Possibly true,
but I could be doing something about it=85
