Gotta stop sending email from my phone. Anyway, I figured out what the
problem was. Turns out postfix wasn't configured for "hostname". Any email
sent to root would end up going to "root@hostname".

The strange part that had me confused was that post fix would send back an
error message. That's the message that would be sent back to root, which was
then forwarded to my Google email. Not sure why the error message made it. I
thought this was a Google error message.

Anyway, all is well in the land of roots mail.
