Mostly gedit, but the first thing I do on Ubuntu is apt-get install nvi. I
hate the way that vim screws up newlines. (at least it does on Ubuntu, and I
don't care that I could probably fix it by editing vimrc -I can also fix it
by apt-getting nvi so that's what I chose to do!)
Never saw the appeal of emacs, to be honest...
