It likely converted it to Google Docs format.
There is not a 1 to 1 conversion of documents between Google,
OpenOffice, and MS Office, going in any direction. On documents I've
uploaded to Google Docs, I've had to make adjustments.
I am going to venture a guess that on a resume, that it is fonts causing
the largest issue. You did it up doing one font type. Google probably
doesn't have that particular font available, so it takes its best guess
at the closest match. Doesn't always work.
When you use Google Docs, it doesn't set the document up for you
assuming your default printer the way a word processor on your box does.
It assumes a more generic printer. Have you ever go to print a document
on a printer, other than your default, and had a message box pop up
telling you the document is outside the printable area?
