It may not matter to you, but it does to me because it demonstrates the true
nature of the company. They're founded and operating in the richest (albeit
hurting) economy in the world. They *choose* to do business in China and
participate in the suppression of information to aid a corrupt government.
And that's just the stuff we know about. What kind of reporting on searches
are they providing the Chinese goverment? How many "dissidents" have been
arrested because of Google's cooperation? All fair questions.

To be sure, China is glaring example of the character of the company, but
it's not the only thing I care about. In truth, I'm far more concerned
about the damage Google is doing to America than I am about China. If
America falls (or is "transformed") there is no place left to go.
