I've not seen that one, but in my job I deal with PDFs a lot. I can tell
you that sometimes *how* you invoke Reader matters.

It's most likely set up as a plugin (so PDFs open in the browser.) Try
setting it as a helper (so they open standalone) or downloading and then
opening from the desktop.

Taking it out of the "plugin" mode stands a good chance of fixing the
problem, at least in my experience.
