I got my Windows 7 from New Egg... The OEM for professional was $140. That's the full version, not an upgrade. I'm sure you can walk down the street to the factory and someone will hand you a copy ;)

How does one get a free copy of Win7?

I have a DVD with Window 7 RTM 7100 and a COA (serious number they say) given
me by my friend who owns a computer store here (China). Whether or not it's a
legit product that he just burned to DVD, who knows? I also have downloaded
some files from a M$ site to install Win7. (In China copyright means "the
right to copy", and we're not governed by the same laws as you are in Alaska,
so I don't really care.) I'd just like to see how Win7 compares to the Vista
junk OS that came with my ThinkPad T61.
