I am a very recent Hulu user myself.

The way the post was worded, I too went looking for some sort of browser
plug-in thinking I had missed it when I downloaded the Hulu Linux
Desktop a couple of days earlier. I finally just clicked on a movie to
see if it told me what I was missing.

Oh well :)
