I've not looked at the link, so perhaps the Scribus script does this as
well - but being the father of a daughter that sometimes needed graph
paper when it was really inconvenient to get to the store, try hitting
up google with

pdf graph paper

and there are a lot of options for all sorts of graph paper, not all of
it rectangular in nature (isometric, log, etc.)

It won't, of course, write in your headings like you can most likely do
with scribus, but I figured if she was going to wait until the last
minute then she could to that :)
