Keeping documentation about specific items is cursed with constantly
falling out of current status. However, I do like your idea of
documenting how to 'do' something. I have wasted tons of time pursuing a
method for (backup, network fileshare, remote access, firewall rules,
wireless implementations, VM, ect) to find out a week later that I could
have skipped 10 steps in the process if I had just been more seasoned or
familiar with the task. I think docs in this manner would be welcomed
and used frequently.
