This isn't a comprehensive article but it should get the job done mostly.

Download the barry debs from the website:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/barry/files/

For me (9.04) it was:

barrybackup-gui_0.15-0_ubuntu904_i386.deb
barry-util_0.15-0_ubuntu904_i386.deb
libbarry0_0.15-0_ubuntu904_i386.deb

Install prereq's for barry:

apt-get install libboost-serialization1.34.1
apt-get install libtar
apt-get install libglademm-2.4-1c2a

dpkg -i libbarry0_0.15-0_ubuntu904_i386.deb
dpkg -i barry-util_0.15-0_ubuntu904_i386.deb
dpkg -i barrybackup-gui_0.15-0_ubuntu904_i386.deb

Keep in mind I might have the order wrong...but it is pretty close. =20
You may have other packages that need to be loaded to meet other =20
dependencies.

It didn't load barrybackup in the menu for me automatically (Xubuntu) =20
but can easily be started from the commandline: barrybackup

Hope this works for you too.

Mike B.
