You can use the 'purge' option, of your favorite package manager, on
the installed Nvidia packages and it will be a 'clean' system, at least
for the Nvidia stuff. 'apt-get autoremove' also helps clean up,
or 'deborphan'. AFAIKT the Debian packages managers can get you anywhwere
you want to go without re-installing.
