I tried and failed :-) to capture VHS to a Haupauge 250 card using
composite video. I was looking for a gui app to 'just do it", tried
Mythtv..way to complicated for capture. Ended up using the comand line
and video4linux tools. It was as simple as "cat /dev/video" > file" after
days/weeks of research. My file was not playable though :-(

What hardware are you using ?
