I would be interesting to see if we could get an Ubuntu mirror running
on a USB drive and then bring it to the install fest. I am currently on
a metered connection. I have to check but I think that I would have to
have someone provide the connection to get the data. but I have the drive.

 I think what we want is a releases mirror (constant size of about
40gigs). the other option is a full archive which is around 210gigs. The
smaller of the two is double my monthly download limit. If someone has
the connection I will provide the drive for a release mirror.........
