I think this has been needed for some time. Nevada should have been more
specific about how it should be implemented, but I think this is going
in the right direction.
In the industry I'm in, I'm constantly amazed at how much confidential
information gets passed in emails. One of the big ones is
copier/scanners that will scan a document to a pdf and email it to someone.
At least they've stopped putting people's SSNs on most documents. I
still occasionally see people scanning to email bank and credit card
statements. Title companies also send people their closing documents as
an MS Word file.
