change OSs?

I second this. Grab two books from Microsoft Press -- the Windows
install book (comes with eval version of Server) and the SQL book for
the SQL version you're interested in (comes with eval SQL Server).
Speaking from experience, if you've got a couple gigs of RAM this works
fine.=20

One of the cool things about virtualbox is the ability to just snapshot
the machine and turn it off. When you come back, there's no rebooting
or rebuilding your config -- you're right back where you were before.
Maybe not so important for dinking around with SQL Server, but when
you're doing LFS it's a pain to rebuild your environment after every
reboot.
