Nathan,

I think someone with your skills should look at doing some web
development stuff.

Whether it be Ruby on Rails, Perl, PHP, whatever.

I feel certain you could find some particular interesting thing in
your life that you want and could create.

How about doing some openoffice templating?

Something with taxes?

Write some docs for one of your favorite applicaitons?
