There was only a few of us there. I'm assuming because folks were =20
enjoying the sunshine that has been thrown at us over the last week or =20
so.
We worked on a couple of different things:
The first was using WPA2 with wpa_supplicant. I know Jim got close to =20
figuring it out completely, but the distro he was using was saving =20
the parameters wrong in the wpa_supplicant.conf file.
We edited the file by hand and then ran it from the command line with =20
debugging turned on. That helped us figure out what needed doing for =20
it to work.
Hopefully Jim will fill in the blanks.
The other thing we did is tried to install debian onto an old low =20
memory laptop that had a broken CDrom drive. It's bad enough to try =20
install linux on older hardware, but not having a consistently working =20
CDrom drive really mucks things up.
I didn't end up going over the xorg stuff...and for now, I'll just do =20
it for the May 9th meeting.
If you have specific things you'd like covered, drop me a note so I =20
can make sure I get that into my presentation.
Currently the talk will include:
- xorg.conf format and options
- troubleshooting tips
- Use of Multi-head displays
- helpful utilities and documentation.
Hope to see you there.
Mike B.
