Ubuntu support can be a little confusing. Here's what I have been able
to figure out. There are two supported versions. Long term support and
what I'm going to call short term support. I'm not sure they really have
a name for the "short term support" versions.

   1. Ubuntu Dapper Long Term Support
         1. 5 years of security updates on the server
         2. 3 years of security updates on the desktop
   2. Edgy, Feisty and Gutsy
         1. 18 moths of updates
         2. Starts the day they were released
   3. Hardy Heron
         1. The next release of Ubuntu
         2. Long Term Support
         3. 5 years of updates on the server
         4. 3 years of updates on the desktop
         5. Comes out in April
