Graphite Imac 500 MHz ?

I was given the subject box, no keyboard or mouse. Without keyboard &
mouse it boots (OS X) then goes into a reboot cycle. I know absolutely
nothing about Apple, intend to boot a live Ubuntu PPC disk to check it
out. I need a keyboard and mouse to do this checkout though.

It is a Imac M5521, Graphite, 500MHz, ppc 750, memory capacity is 1gb of
pc133 memory, won't know until I boot it.

Any comments or links welcome on running Linux on this.

We got a box and some parts for Pelz, and he didn't go begging for 
PC-133 memory like we told him to do :-))
The case has two empty slots. Can anyone help?
