For cross-plaform backups, I'll put in a mention of Bacula
<http://www.bacula.org>. I used it at a previous job, and we backed up
Windows, Mac, and Linux clients, and Linux and Windows servers. Worked
flawlessly, and saved me several times (had several workstation harddrives go
bad).
