I'm with you. They also seem to throttle news groups. I can go to a
web page and pull it up pretty quickly, but sometimes have to wait for
10 or 15 seconds or more for a 10 line text usenet post to come in.
Sometimes (very rarely) it'll be almost instantaneous but most of the
time it's a pig.

It used to be that to get cable internet you had to have cable TV. I
don't and don't want to so GCI wasn't an option. Anybody know if that's
changed? (I'm in Juneau.)

This whole "you must be a criminal" mentality by the computer/media
industry is really getting old...
