At my last job, I managed a library of AIT-2 tapes and drives. I really
like the AIT drives since they have the chip built in, so tapes are
easily identified and the backup program can easily identify what tape
is in (and what one it may need.)

AIT tapes are getting cheaper, but I think there's cheaper ones around.
