xubuntu

i set up xubuntu on an old P3 to temporaraly replace a down windows
system(hehehe). it works fine, but the res on the screen is like realy bad.
when i had the install cd in the resolution was very good, but after
install, not so. has very old graphics card, (8 Mb ram!), but should work
for email:)
any ideas what to do?
the card is nvidea, already got the leagacy drivers
